Algae of freshwater

Algae as high quality food ...

Algae are among the most valuable food products. According to the World Health Organization man could temporarily survive on algae and extra vitamin C alone.

Spirulina algae

Spirulina algae are cyanobacteria, which exist exclusively in highly alkaline salt lakes. They consist of 60% proteins, with all amino acids that are essential to humans among them.

The spirulina is the descendant of the cyanobacteria that enabled the first photosynthetic life form on Earth ages ago.

The small 'bio-power plant" was declared the "best food of the future" by the World Food Conference of the United Nations. [more]

Chlorella algae

Chlorella algae are unicellular green algae, and they are one of the oldest known plants with a nucleated cell.

Although it is a tiny plant, contains a lot of ingredients: In addition to many proteins, in which all essential amino acids are included, it contains unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, trace elements and much chlorophyll. Melvin Calvin studied photosynthesis on Chlorella algae and received the Nobel Prize for his work in 1961. [more]

AFA- Algae from Klamath Lake

The AFA algae, known as "the blue-green algae" is a cyanobacterium, called "water bloom". It grows in very clean lakes.

This particular cyanobacterium is characterized primarily by its ability for photosynthesis and the resulting production of oxygen. Their prototype developed about 3.5 billion years ago, making it one of the oldest life forms on Earth. Our pure and natural Klamath AFA Algae grows in southern Oregon in the Upper Klamath Lake. Why does the body need protein?

Why does the body need protein?

Dietary proteins primarily supply the body with essential amino acids and nitrogen for the body's own protein synthesis, e.g. structural proteins such as actin, myosin and creatine, transport proteins such as haemoglobin or transferrin, receptor proteins, immunoactive proteins such as immunoglobulins, and other nitrogen-containing compounds, e.g. enzymes, peptide hormones such as insulin as well as DNA and RNA. Amino acids are also precursors in the synthesis of numerous metabolic products such as bile acids, serotonin and histamine. Dietary proteins can also be used to provide energy, with 4 kcal (17 kJ) being released per g of protein when broken down.
